I wrote this song when I was experiencing some very high emotions after my best friend dropped me for a boy. We were very very close and I started to feel like she didn't have time for me anymore and I was only ever there to fill some sort of void in the first place. Long story short we eventually fell out and I decided I'd write this sarcastic tongue in cheek 'love letter', so to speak, as my parting gift to them both.
